I joined IBM Design in January 2014 as an early member of an initiative to hire 1,500 designers in 5 years. IBM Design is a unique program that eases new designers into the sometimes scary world of enterprise software. The first 3 months are spent working on smaller projects that teach important lessons on interacting with project managers, developers, and fellow designers in a real world setting. At IBM, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a mapping component for Big Data software, training interface for the Watson Supercomputer, and DevOps Pipeline tools. Currently I’m deployed on a project working to improve IBM’s reporting tools for complex engineering projects. My work is currently under NDA.
